My Little July Surprise

Hey there,

Today I took a break from working on my ePattern and went to see The Dark Knight Rises. You need to pay a lot of attention to the storyline so no dozing is possible. Not a bad movie although the first third was a little too slow for me. Plus I don't remember the story from Part I and Part II. If you've seen the movie, do you agree with me that the Bat "motor cycle" is way cooler than the Bat "car"?

When I reached home, I immediately started work on THIS.

It's just ONE lunchtime pouch but you get to see 5 different views.

The exterior is constructed using MoMo's It's a Hoot fabric. Just a few pieces of fabric patched together. The lining is my medium size polka dots and for the bottoms, I used the weird green cotton  drill.

You like it?
You want it?
Come and get it.

Yes. This little lunchtime pouch is my July Giveaway. I will fold it up, wrap it up, seal it in an envelope and mail it to 1 lucky winner.

Just in case you're wondering, if I were a superhero, I would want to be able to FLY. Except I don't know how my height phobia would fit in. Just imagine me flying up, up and ....nausea, fear, crying...
You get the idea. Well, at least it's not my biggest worry in the world.

p.s. if you wish to make a lunchtime pouch, you could learn how by buying my ePattern here. (patchwork instructions are not included)

Good luck.

I would like to teletransport- think where I want to be and then just arrive. That would eliminate the being up high of flying- don't you think? I love the bird on the bag. So cute!

I discovered your blog a few month back and this is my first time commenting.

My superpower would be teleportation, because sometimes i really like to just be somewhere else.

Great bag by the way!

Super cute pouch! Love the birds and the grey polka dots! Patchwork was a great idea! If I was a superhero I think I would want a nose like the chick from Bewitched. She just wiggles her nose and stuff happens. Housework, wiggle wiggle done. Dishes, wiggle, wiggle done. I don't know if that would be a super power but it seems pretty powerful to me :) Thanks for a great giveaway!

How sweet of you! the pouch is so cute :-)
I think I'd go for invisibility... or cloning - if that is a super hero power. My clone would be doing all the boring tasks: work, household... and I'd be creating all the time ;-)

Thanks for the giveaway, Jane. The bag is cute.

I have always wanted to FLY. I have often dreamt that I could fly. When threatened or scared I could just jump into the air and be above the threat, I could hover over a house or tree and look down on all the activities and be silently sitting there. I could fly up to the top of a tree to snooze in the tree top or get to where ever I wanted to go easily. I would always be able to see what was going on at an event or show and there would be no crowds. sigh. Lovely.

Hi Jane!
I love your blog, and looking at your great bags.
I am torn between wanting to fly and teleportation. I think it would be neat to fly, to be able to see all the things below you. What a great way to tour the world. But teleportation would be so fast, I could pop over to Singapore for lunch and be home in time for dinner, how cool would that be? So in the end I guess I would have to say teleportation. I am not a patient person so speed wins out.
