February 2014 Giveaway

Hello dear readers,

I'm doing 12 giveaways this year and this is my second one.

Over the weekend, I had a rush of adrenaline (some time after midnight) and made a little pouch for my February 2014 giveaway. I hope you like it!


So this is what I'm giving away - one wristlet zip pouch. Bear is not included!!! I used an interesting fabric I received from Momshoo. It is a Jolii Pomme from Cosmo Textile. When I look at the characters on the fabric, I immediately think Alice in Wonderland. But I don't think this is a Alice in Wonderland print.


The design of my wristlet zip pouch is based on my Easy iPhone Zip Pouch Pattern. I made it wider, taller and added a handle to the side. And I used a round plate to get the rounded corners. You're probably lusting over my panther iPhone zip pouch, rite? Well, I plan to be buried with it. So...

I made this pouch large enough for a regular size wallet (that's hub's wallet), handphone, keys, tissue paper and lipstick. Sorry, it can't accomodate an umbrella.

Bear thought it would be helpful to demonstrate the other uses of this very versatile zip pouch. Yes, you can sit on it.

If your head is small enough, you can even wear it as a hat.


 Bear thinks hanging out with the zip pouch is the best.

What is your favourite fruit?

You probably know what my current favourite fruit is - grapefruit! But it's no ordinary grapefruit. I had been googling this specific fruit and it's called Mandelo Grapefruit - a cocktail grapefruit which is a hybrid of a mandarin and pommelo. I just bought a few more from the supermarket and these are actually sweet. I also read that these fruits are available during the winter months. You know I'm going to be pining for these fruits very soon.

    I love watermelon. In the summer I cut them in half and quite happily eat them like giant boiled eggs!

    This is difficult to name my favourite fruit 'cos I do like fruit as a food group. But my favourite is a crunchy, crisp apple.

    avocado! But they are so darn difficult to judge when's the right time to be eaten.... too early and you get avocado chips, too late you get green and brown mush...

    Beautiful. As soon as I saw the fabric I though of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. At the moment I eat mostly bananas.

    I NEED that little pouch! It's adorable! I love the graphic print.
    My favorite fruit? Ruby Red Grapefruit. I will have to see if your new variety makes it this far. It looks delicious!
